I Heart New York by Lindsey Kelk
Summary: After she catches her boyfriend in the back of their car with some girl from his tennis club (and at their best friends’ wedding, no less!) Angela Clark flees - all the way to NYC.
Review: This isn’t - and will never be - one of my favourite books. This was the second time I’ve read it but even the first time, I found some parts more than a little predictable. But despite that, it has its good points. The idea of just disappearing to New York on a whim certainly appeals to me - and the book has funny parts too. I just - eh. It’s a good book, and I expect I’ll read it again, and I intend to (re)read the rest of the series at some point too, but it doesn’t excite me the way some books do.
Should you read it? Sure, but only if you’re up for the almost slushy romance of it all. It’s mostly about Angela’s New York dating experience and if you’re not up for that - don’t bother.
